Si2 Microsystems offers turnkey solutions by integrating chip and system design with manufacturing capabilities. Its business is structured into three divisions: Application-Specific SiP (ASiP) for custom solutions, Standard and Semi-custom SiP (FSiP) for wireless applications, and an Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) arm for telecom systems and memory modules. The company was founded by Ramachandran Swaminathan. Over the years, Si2 has raised a total of $18.5 million in funding over three rounds from investors including Ventureast. In recent years, Si2 Microsystems has faced international scrutiny, with sanctions imposed by the United States, the European Union, and Japan for allegedly supplying dual-use technology to Russia's defense sector. The company has also been a partner with India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) for a project under the 'Make in India' initiative.
