Hunan Shixin New Materials Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the research, development, production, and sales of carbon-ceramic composite materials. Established in December 2016, the company was founded as a result of the commercialization of the “High-Performance Carbon-Ceramic Composite Material Preparation Technology” from Central South University. The company's legal representative and chairman is Peng Xiao.

Shixin Materials operates in the advanced materials market, serving clients across several key industrial sectors. Its core products include carbon-ceramic brake discs and other composite material components. These products are utilized in high-speed trains, urban rail systems, automobiles, new energy, aerospace, and defense industries. A significant application is in braking systems for rail transport, where its carbon-ceramic brake discs offer advantages such as lower density, high-temperature resistance, and fatigue resistance, providing a domestic alternative to German and Japanese products. The company also supplies carbon-carbon and carbon-ceramic composite materials for photovoltaic thermal fields and the semiconductor industry.

The company is headquartered in the "China Power Valley" in Zhuzhou National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Hunan Province, with a 75-acre advanced research, production, and testing base. Shixin Materials has undergone several funding rounds to support its growth, including a Series B+ round of ¥130 million RMB in November 2022 and subsequent C, C+, and D rounds through May 2025.
