About Sentrix

Sentrix, founded in 2011 by Nimrod Luria, Israel Barak, Israel Ragutski, and Ivgeni Broitman, developed a cloud-based web application security solution. The company, which initially operated under the name Foresight AIR, was headquartered in Israel with offices in the US and UK. A significant milestone in the company's history was its acquisition by Trusted Knight, a US-based security firm, in a deal that closed in February 2016.

The company secured a total of $10 million in funding over two Series A rounds. The first round in October 2013 brought in $4 million, followed by a second round of $6 million in September 2014. Key investors included Magma Venture Partners and Cedar Fund. Co-founder Israel Barak brought extensive experience from his role as the Head of the Israeli Defense Forces' Cyber Red Team Unit, providing a deep understanding of cyber-attack methodologies.

Sentrix's core offering was the Cloud-DMZ, a security platform designed to protect enterprise websites from Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks and other vulnerability exploits. The service operated by creating an active cloud-replica of a client's website. This approach drastically reduced the attack surface—by over 99%—as malicious traffic would be directed to the replica, unable to reach the original server to exploit vulnerabilities, deface the site, or compromise data. This method offered an alternative to traditional Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) by not needing to inspect all incoming traffic, instead focusing on isolating the original asset. The platform served a range of enterprise clients, including financial institutions, telecom operators, and healthcare organizations.
