The company has developed an advanced platform that integrates data from multiple sources, including proprietary low-power gas and thermal sensors, AI-powered cameras, satellites, and weather stations. This system, known as SenseCore AI, enables ultra-early detection of wildfires, sometimes even in the smoldering phase before flames or smoke are visible. The platform can detect fires in as little as three minutes, analyze fire behavior, and forecast its progression for up to seven days. Its wireless sensor network is designed to operate in remote areas with minimal internet or cellular connectivity, utilizing a mesh topology to transmit data over long distances.

SenseNet serves a diverse client base that includes public authorities like fire departments and municipalities, as well as private companies in sectors such as utilities, railways, and natural resources. The business model involves providing custom hardware and software services, offering an all-in-one source for real-time monitoring and predictive analytics. The technology has been validated by the Government of Canada and has been successfully piloted in communities like Vernon, B.C., where it detected and helped mitigate 217 fires during a three-year project. Following successful funding rounds, including a $2.75 million seed round in September 2023, SenseNet is expanding its installations across British Columbia and Alberta with plans for national and international growth.
