Sencure is a Dutch semiconductor company specializing in the design and development of chip technology for medical devices and health-tracking wearables. Founded in 2021, the company originated from ItoM Medical B.V., which was the medical branch of the chip developer Semiconductor Ideas to the Market (ItoM) B.V. The company is led by CEO Dick van Waes and maintains offices in Roden, Enschede, and a newer R&D facility in Nijmegen, Netherlands. Sencure's business model is centered on supplying its proprietary integrated circuits (ICs) to partners, including medical device manufacturers, consumer electronics companies, and contract engineering firms. The company enables these partners to create next-generation wearable health solutions for applications such as remote patient monitoring, in-hospital diagnostics, and consumer health and wellness tracking. Sencure's primary product is the SNCE800 series, a family of analog front-end (AFE) ICs that measure electrophysiological signals from the body, including heart activity (ECG), brain activity (EEG), and muscle activity (EMG). These chips are designed to integrate an Analog Front-end, Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC), and a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) into a single component. A key differentiator of the SNCE800 is its combination of high-quality signal acquisition and ultra-low power consumption, which is reportedly up to fifteen times lower than competing solutions. This efficiency allows for the development of smaller, lighter devices with extended battery life, such as smart patches, EEG-enabled earbuds, and other compact wearables. The chips support both dry and gel-based electrodes and feature capabilities like real-time electrode impedance measurement. The product line includes 2, 4, and 8-channel versions to suit different applications. Sencure has raised over €15 million in total funding, including a Series B round that brought its total to €7.9 million to facilitate the mass production of the SNCE800 and support commercial expansion. Its investors include Cottonwood Technology Fund, Lumana Invest, Bluegrass Ventures, 819 Capital Partners, and the Noordelijke Ontwikkelings Maatschappij (NOM).
