The company initially focused on online event promotion before shifting its efforts to corporate meeting registration. Its core business involved providing an event-planning website and management services tailored for professional meetings and events, serving both enterprises and meeting management companies.

The company's offerings included tools like MeetingView for meeting consolidation and Qreg for online registration, which were distributed by major third-party planners. Corporate clients, such as Northern Trust Corp. and York International Corp., utilized its services. In a significant strategic move in August 2004, SeeUthere Technologies merged with PlanSoft Inc., a firm specializing in the supplier side of the meetings industry. This all-stock transaction, described as a merger of equals, led to the formation of a new company named OnVantage, headquartered in Santa Clara, California. Following the merger, SeeUthere's CEO and President, John Chang, became the CEO of OnVantage, while COO Stanley Chin led the corporate division.

The rationale behind the merger was to combine SeeUthere's strong presence in the corporate market with PlanSoft's extensive database of hotels and suppliers. This integration aimed to provide corporate customers with enhanced spend management, data control, and better enforcement of meeting policies related to site selection. The merged entity continued to serve the distinct market segments, with the Santa Clara office focusing on corporate clients and the Twinsburg, Ohio, office concentrating on the supplier market. Ultimately, OnVantage acquired SeeUthere Technologies on August 31, 2004.
