About SALUS

SALUS Technologies is a Vancouver-based company providing a safety management software platform designed for construction and other labor-focused industries. Founded in 2018 by CEO Gabe Guetta and CTO Rob Clifford, the company was born out of Guetta's direct experience in the construction sector. After working his way up from a laborer to running a high-rise window installation business, Guetta faced significant challenges with paper-based safety compliance and liability, which inspired the search for a digital solution. Finding no suitable software that replicated the specific workflows of the construction industry, he partnered with Clifford to build one.

The company's core offering is a cloud-based platform that allows for the digitization and centralization of safety processes. It operates on both desktop for administrators and a mobile app for field workers, enabling real-time submission and management of safety documentation. Key features include digital forms, certificate and asset tracking, incident management, subcontractor management, and compliance reporting. This system provides organizations with immediate visibility into safety compliance across their worksites, aiming to reduce administrative tasks, mitigate risk, and foster a proactive safety culture. The business model is based on Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), with the platform trusted on over 70,000 job sites, protecting 140,000 workers daily.

SALUS has secured significant funding to support its growth and product development. In November 2023, it received over C$2.6 million from the Canadian government's PacifiCan Jobs and Growth Fund. This was followed by a C$8 million Series A funding round in December 2023 from New York-based investors. This capital is being used to enhance software functionality, improve customer support, and expand marketing efforts to serve more markets across North America and Australia.
