RoboParty Technology, officially Shanghai RoboParty Technology Co., Ltd., is a startup focused on developing a full-stack, open-source bipedal humanoid robot ecosystem. Founded in April 2025 by Huang Yi, the company aims to address key issues in the robotics industry, such as high entry barriers and lack of standardized platforms, by creating a universally accessible and low-cost robotic foundation.

The founder, Huang Yi, born in 2004, demonstrated a passion for robotics early on. While a first-year student at the Harbin Institute of Technology, he built a walking humanoid robot named AlexBot in his dorm room and shared the entire development process publicly. This was followed by an upgraded version, AlexBotmini, in February 2025. Huang graduated early in his third year to establish RoboParty, becoming one of China's youngest humanoid robot entrepreneurs. His vision is to create the "Android of robotics"—a completely open platform to accelerate the development of embodied intelligence.

The company's business model is centered on building a developer community around its open-source platform. By making its designs, from hardware schematics to control algorithms, fully available, RoboParty intends to foster collaboration and build a robust ecosystem. This approach is designed to lower costs and encourage widespread adoption and innovation among developers, researchers, and educational institutions. While the company has received significant order interest, its current strategy prioritizes building a strong developer base over immediate mass production. In November 2025, RoboParty secured a seven-figure seed funding round from investors including Matrix Partners, Xiaomi Strategic Investment, Galaxy Universal, and L2F Capital. The capital is allocated towards the development of core components, the robot's body, and motion control technology.

RoboParty has developed prototypes, including the ATOM01 and ATOM02-M series, with plans to release and fully open-source the ATOM02 model in the second quarter of 2026. The company's goal is to become a platform-level supplier of general-purpose humanoid robot bodies, leveraging data and feedback from its developer community to continually improve its products.
