Remepy operates at the intersection of digital therapeutics and pharmaceuticals, creating a new asset class it terms "Hybrid Drugs™". The company was founded in 2022 by a team of serial entrepreneurs and scientists, including Dr. Michal Tsur, Or Shoval, and Prof. Amir Amedi. Dr. Tsur has a significant track record in the technology sector, having co-founded the anti-fraud company Cyota (acquired by RSA Security for $145 million) and the video platform Kaltura, which went public in 2021. This venture reunites her with former Cyota partner and former Israeli Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett, who sits on Remepy's board. Remepy's business model is centered on partnerships with pharmaceutical companies to co-develop these hybrid drugs. Remepy provides the proprietary software component, called a "Digital Molecule™", which is an AI-driven therapeutic application delivered via a mobile device. This software is prescribed alongside a traditional pharmaceutical drug. The combination of the pharmacological action of the pill and the neuro-behavioral action of the digital protocol creates a synergistic effect, aiming for superior clinical outcomes than either component could achieve alone. Revenue is generated through these collaborations with pharmaceutical partners. Remepy's "Digital Molecules™" are designed to enhance drug efficacy by delivering personalized, evidence-based interventions. These protocols use cognitive, behavioral, motor, and psychological exercises to trigger physiological mechanisms in the brain, which can modulate the immune and neuro-endocrine systems, enhance neuroplasticity, and improve brain connectivity. The platform's AI models continuously adapt the digital treatment based on real-time patient data, addressing not only the primary disease but also side effects and comorbidities. The company has conducted human studies demonstrating its ability to change brain connectivity and optimize immune biomarkers.
