About Regroup Therapy

Regroup Therapy was established in 2011 by founder David Cohn to address significant gaps in mental health coverage through technology. Cohn's background, which includes serving in the US Peace Corps in Guatemala and holding an MBA from IE Business School, informed his approach to marrying a sense of purpose with pragmatic business solutions. He was personally motivated by his own positive experiences with therapy and a desire to make mental healthcare more accessible, especially after observing the challenges people face in finding care.

The company operates on a business-to-business model, functioning as a technology-enabled staffing agency that provides virtual mental health clinicians to other healthcare entities. Initially, Regroup attempted a direct-to-consumer model but pivoted after realizing the larger market need was to support healthcare facilities struggling with a shortage of mental health professionals. Its clients include hospitals, primary care clinics, correctional facilities, and other outpatient organizations. By integrating a network of over 3,000 licensed mental health professionals into its partners' systems via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, Regroup enables these entities to offer seamless behavioral health services. This model focuses on continuity of care, allowing patients to see the same provider consistently, which has been shown to improve patient outcomes and reduce no-show rates.

In December 2019, Regroup Therapy merged with InSight Telepsychiatry, a provider with over two decades of experience, to form what was described as the largest telepsychiatry service provider in the United States. This strategic merger was intended to combine Regroup's expertise in scheduled, integrated care with InSight's on-demand and direct-to-consumer services, creating a more comprehensive offering. Following the merger, David Cohn assumed the role of Chief Growth Officer for the new, combined organization. In January 2021, the merged entity rebranded to Array Behavioral Care to reflect its expanded range of services across the full continuum of care, from hospitals to homes.
