Redemption Games is a mobile game development studio based in Carlsbad, California, founded in 2015 by Michael Witz and Dan Lin. The founders have a long history in the gaming industry, having previously co-founded Mob Science, which was acquired by Jam City. At Jam City, they were instrumental in the creation and success of the popular mobile game 'Cookie Jam', which has generated over $500 million.

The studio focuses on developing casual, free-to-play mobile games, with a notable success being 'Sweet Escapes'. This match-three puzzle game, which generated over $60 million in lifetime revenue, involves players solving puzzles to design and decorate bakeries and other shops. The company's business model is centered on in-app purchases within their free-to-play games. Redemption Games aims to create immersive experiences with engaging art and compelling gameplay.

The company has gone through several funding and structural changes. In 2018, it received a $5 million minority stake investment from Supercell. Subsequently, AppLovin made a strategic investment in 2020. In a significant move in March 2023, Redemption Games spun out of AppLovin to become an independent studio again, securing $7 million in a new funding round led by Play Ventures, with participation from Bitkraft and others. This brought the company's total funding to $12 million over three rounds.
