RAYDIAX is a Magdeburg medtech spin-off from the STIMULATE research campus and Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg, founded in 2022 by CEO Dr Thomas Hoffmann with Dr-Ing Tim Pfeiffer, Roy Rothenberg and colleagues, developing TACT (Therapy-Assist CT)—a hybrid therapy-assistance CT combining multislice 3D CT with large-area 2D angiography for safer, more efficient minimally invasive cancer interventions with lower radiation exposure and room for surgical robotics. After a 2023 seed package of about €3.5 million (€2.4 million equity from HTGF and bmp Ventures plus a €1.1 million German grant), in March 2026 RAYDIAX secured a €7.5 million package: €5 million Series A1 venture capital from existing angels, bmp Ventures with the IBG funds and new investor GETEC Family Office (Dr Karl Gerhold), plus €2.5 million from the European Commission’s EIC Accelerator—equity and grant are distinct—to fund first-in-human studies, series maturity and sales/production/quality build-out.
