Pursuit was founded in 2023 by Mike Vichich and Brandon Max. Vichich, who serves as CEO, comes from a family with a background in public service and previously founded a consumer company that was acquired by Olo in 2021. This experience, combined with Max's role as a founding engineer at Vichich's prior startup, led them to address the complexities of government sales. The company operates on a subscription-based business model with user-based and consumption-based pricing tiers, as well as a transactional option for qualified deal handoffs. In July 2024, Pursuit secured a $3.5 million seed funding round, bringing its total funding to $25.5 million with backing from investors such as Bill Gurley and Jack Altman.
