About Proposal Software
Every great startup story starts with a problem. For Kyle Racki, a designer, and Kevin Springer, a sales veteran, that problem was the tedious and painful process of creating business proposals at their web design agency. They knew there had to be a better way. That initial idea, born from their own frustration in 2007, was the seed for what would become Proposify. After years of development and the eventual sale of their agency, Racki and Springer went all-in on Proposify in 2013. They launched their software-as-a-service platform to streamline the entire proposal workflow, from creation to electronic signature. The early days were a grind, but they secured a crucial $250,000 seed investment in 2014, which helped them find product-market fit and begin to scale. A significant milestone arrived in 2018 when Proposify raised a $3 million funding round, allowing them to build out a sales team and target larger customers. This was followed by a larger Series A investment totaling $13 million from the Canadian Business Growth Fund and Innovacorp, which came in tranches starting in 2020. This capital injection was aimed at fueling global growth and further product development, cementing their position in the competitive sales software market.
