Prodrone Co., Ltd. is a Japanese manufacturer specializing in industrial and military-grade unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Founded in January 2015 by Masakazu Kono and Kiyokazu Sugaki, the company is headquartered in Nagoya, Aichi. The company designs and manufactures a range of multi-rotor and single-rotor drones, along with its own Ground Control System (GCS). Its product line is engineered for high performance in challenging environments and serves applications such as disaster response, defense, infrastructure inspection, surveying, and logistics. Notable product developments include a drone with two robotic arms capable of carrying a 10kg load and an all-weather, water-landable drone for aerial and underwater inspection. The PD6B model can carry a maximum payload of 30 kg. The firm has established numerous strategic partnerships with companies like DJI, Panasonic, Canon, KDDI, and Mitsubishi. It is also engaged in international initiatives, including a project with the United Nations (UNIDO) to deploy mine detection drones in Ukraine. Prodrone holds over 130 technology patents and focuses on integrating advanced AI with its hardware to enhance autonomous flight and safety for critical missions.
