About PowerUp Energy Technologies

PowerUP Energy Technologies is a Tallinn hydrogen fuel-cell company founded in 2016 by Ivar Kruusenberg that builds silent, emission-free modular generators for defence, industrial and off-grid use—originally engineered with the European Space Agency and validated in demanding settings including Ukraine. Its dual-use UP-series systems (including UP200, UP400, UP1K and UP6K) and UP Solid Storage batteries target forward operating bases, telecom and critical-infrastructure backup where diesel generators are noisy, heavy or restricted. In November 2025 PowerUP closed a €10 million Series A co-led by Mercaton and ScaleWolf with SmartCap’s Green Fund to scale manufacturing and commercialisation, expand sales and technical teams into Central Europe and North America, and advance higher-density fuel-cell models.
