About Porelio

Porelio is a Germany-based deep-tech company founded in 2025 that develops Functionalized Ordered Mesoporous Silicas (FOMS) for industrial separation and water treatment, recovering precious metals from effluents and removing persistent PFAS compounds such as trifluoroacetic acid. Its patented continuous-flow manufacturing process is designed to produce FOMS roughly 30 times faster than conventional methods under more sustainable conditions, with regenerable materials intended to cut treatment cost. Proof-of-concept projects in Europe have shown faster palladium capture versus conventional adsorption and stronger TFA removal than commercial activated carbon in comparable tests. In July 2026 Porelio raised an oversubscribed EUR 2.4 million pre-seed led by Faber, with Polytechnique Ventures, Grupo Tecnologica and better ventures, to scale production from pilot kilograms-per-day toward industrial tonnes-per-year and convert collaborations into commercial partnerships.
