About Polyarc

Polyarc is a video game development studio focused on the virtual and augmented reality market, founded in 2015. The company operates on a premium game sales model, generating revenue through the one-time purchase of its titles available on platforms like Steam, the Oculus store, and the PlayStation Store.

The founding team consists of CEO Tam Armstrong, Chris Alderson, and Danny Bulla, all of whom are veterans of the AAA game industry. Their collective experience at prominent studios such as Bungie, Rockstar Games, and Midway on blockbuster franchises including *Destiny*, *Halo*, and *Red Dead Redemption* provided a robust foundation for their venture into immersive technologies. Armstrong's background is in game systems and animation engineering, Bulla's in gameplay and cinema design, and Alderson's in character art, creating a complementary leadership team. The founders were drawn to VR and AR by the potential to create deeper connections between players and in-game characters through physical interaction and emotional feedback.

Polyarc's debut title, *Moss* (2018), is a single-player action-adventure puzzle game that achieved significant critical acclaim, securing over 120 industry awards and nominations. This success was followed by a sequel, *Moss: Book II* (2022), which also garnered numerous accolades. The studio has since expanded its portfolio to include a multiplayer real-time battler, *Glassbreakers: Champions of Moss*. The company has successfully raised $17.5 million over three funding rounds to support game development and its expansion into augmented reality. The initial seed round in 2016 raised $3.5 million, followed by a $9 million Series B in 2020 led by Hiro Capital.
