Pixelgen
Spatial proteomics platform mapping the molecular architecture of individual cells
About Pixelgen
Pixelgen is a Stockholm, Sweden life-sciences company founded in 2020 by Simon Fredriksson, Alvaro Martinez Barrio, Fredrik Dahl and Filip Karlsson. Its Proxiome platform uses DNA-based Molecular Pixelation to map how proteins are organized, clustered and positioned on the surface of single cells, adding spatial architecture to conventional protein-abundance measurements. The company emerged from stealth in 2022 and closed an oversubscribed $15.5 million Series B in August 2026, led by Flat Capital with continued participation from Industrifonden and Navigare Ventures, to commercialize globally. CEO and co-founder Simon Fredriksson previously co-founded Olink and Genagon Therapeutics; other founding expertise includes computational science and product development at 10x Genomics, Halo Genomics and Vanadis.
