Pin Payments is an Australian fintech company providing a complete solution for businesses to accept online card payments. Founded in 2013 by Grant Bissett and Dominic Pym, the company was established to offer small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in Australia a simplified, developer-friendly way to process payments online, reducing market entry time from weeks to days. Pin Payments experienced this problem firsthand and created Australia's first all-in-one, multi-currency payment system that doesn't necessitate a traditional merchant account.

The platform combines the functions of a payment gateway and a merchant account into a single service, streamlining the complex process of accepting online transactions. It serves businesses across Australia and New Zealand. In May 2020, Pin Payments was acquired by the global payment provider Checkout.com, a move designed to enhance its service offerings and provide its merchants with access to a global acquiring network. Following the acquisition, the Pin Payments team joined Checkout.com, continuing operations from their offices in Perth and Melbourne.

The business model is based on a fee-per-transaction structure, with no setup or monthly account-keeping fees.
