PILOT MEDIA

About PILOT MEDIA

Pilot Media (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. is a media company that focuses on screenplay creation, integrating the production and distribution of TV series, films, and web dramas with talent and screenwriter management. The company was founded in January 2015 by the acclaimed screenwriter Zhang Yongchen, who is known for works like "Moment in Peking," "Like Fog, Like Rain and Like Wind," and "The Last Concubine".

The company adopts a Hollywood-style studio model, having signed over a hundred screenwriters to develop high-quality scripts. Its business model evolved from solely script creation to include co-investment and taking the lead in investment and production control. In October 2016, Pilot Media secured over 100 million RMB in a Series A financing round exclusively from Mango Cultural and Creative Industry Fund, an investment body associated with Hunan Broadcasting System. This funding was aimed at expanding the screenwriter platform and investing in premium, script-centered projects.

Pilot Media's portfolio includes well-known productions such as "General and I," "The Legend of the Condor Heroes," and the suspense drama "7th Day," which was a collaboration with 5-Yuan Culture. In addition to production, the company is also involved in artist management, signing promising new talent.
