The company's core offering is a full-service digital pharmacy accessible via a mobile app and website, which facilitates free, at-home medication delivery across Canada. Pillway specializes in serving patients with chronic diseases and those managing multiple daily medications. Its service includes pre-sorting medications into personalized daily dose packets, managing refills and renewals, and providing automatic reminders. The platform uses artificial intelligence to personalize interactions, identify patients at high risk of non-adherence, and offer virtual pharmacist consultations. For healthcare providers, Pillway offers EMR integration and dashboards to monitor patient compliance.

Pillway's business model includes providing its Pharmacy-as-a-Service (PaaS) platform to enterprises, insurers, and other health brands. A significant partnership was formed with insurance giant Sun Life, which resulted in the co-development of the Lumino Health™ Pharmacy app. This collaboration led to Sun Life making a $9.5 million Series A investment in Pillway in November 2023. This followed an earlier $5 million seed round from WELL Health Technologies in 2020. These investments are intended to fuel Pillway's expansion across Canada and further develop its technology.
