PCOVERY
Pcovery is a focused drug discovery company within the anti-fungal area
About PCOVERY
Pcovery was a Danish drug discovery company focused on the development of a novel class of broad-spectrum antifungal treatments for severe, life-threatening fungal infections, particularly in immunocompromised patients. A spinout from the University of Copenhagen and Aarhus University established in 2009, the company built its science on in-depth knowledge of the structure and biochemistry of fungal membrane proteins, combined with medicinal chemistry, targeting a unique fungal membrane transport system. Pcovery was backed by the Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund, Novo A/S (Novo Holdings), the Wellcome Trust and CAPNOVA, and secured a Wellcome Trust grant to advance its structural-biology pipeline. The company was wound down in 2016.
