In 1987, amidst the economic turbulence of hyperinflation in Brazil, childhood friends Norival Bonamichi and Jardel Massari started a business distributing veterinary products. This venture was the first step toward what would become Ourofino Saúde Animal, a leading name in the animal health industry. They soon decided to manufacture their own products, establishing a brand focused initially on production animals like cattle and poultry. The company grew organically, and by 2000, it expanded into the companion animal market for dogs and cats. A pivotal moment came in 2001 with the construction of a modern industrial park in Cravinhos, São Paulo, to support its growth. This investment in technology and innovation became a core part of the company's strategy. By focusing on research and development, Ourofino built a comprehensive portfolio of veterinary solutions. A significant milestone in Ourofino's journey was its Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the Brazilian stock exchange in 2014. The company raised R$418 million in what was the first IPO of that year, pricing at the top of its suggested range due to strong demand. This event marked a new chapter of governance and financial strength, allowing for further expansion, including the establishment of its own teams in Mexico and Colombia. Today, Ourofino stands as a major player in animal health, not just in Brazil but across Latin America.
