Oson is a financial technology company specializing in e-money and digital payment services. The company operates an electronic payment system and mobile wallet that allows users to make various payments, including for utilities, mobile communication, and online services. It facilitates fee-free or low-fee international money transfers between local cards like Uzcard and HUMO, as well as to international cards such as Visa and Mastercard. The platform also supports payments for global gaming services and topping up international e-wallets.

The development of Oson was initiated in 2016 by Brio Group, under the leadership of founder Farhod Makhmudov. Makhmudov, an entrepreneur with a background in banking and finance, launched the first version of the product in 2017 after identifying a need in the market. A significant milestone was achieved in June 2020, when Oson was officially registered as the first electronic money system in Uzbekistan. The company's business model is centered on providing a comprehensive payment platform for individuals and businesses. Revenue is generated through transaction fees and partnerships. The Oson application is designed to adapt based on the user's location, tailoring the currency and available services.

Headquartered in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Oson has expanded its presence with offices in the UAE, Kazakhstan, the USA, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. It was the first Central Asian fintech company specializing in e-money to establish a presence in Kazakhstan and the UAE. The company serves over 2.5 million users and employs over 150 people. In January 2025, Oson entered a public-private partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent, contributing $50,000 to support the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) program.
