About Oslo
The story of Oslo begins not with a garage startup, but with an acquisition. In 2007, Antoine Glangetas and an associate purchased Emplio, a French IT integration company founded in 1979. Their initial playbook was straightforward: grow through acquisition. For the next decade, the company executed a strategy of external growth, absorbing roughly twenty smaller firms to build scale and expertise. This aggressive M&A activity expanded their footprint across France and deepened their services. A key shift began in 2015 when the company started developing its own software, branching out from pure integration services into the higher-margin world of software publishing. To fuel this new ambition, Oslo secured a major investment from the private equity fund Capza in 2018. This partnership provided the capital for further strategic acquisitions, such as Datronic and Euro Logiciel in 2019, which significantly strengthened its new division focused on point-of-sale software for specialized retail. The most defining moment came in late 2021, when Oslo made a strategic decision to go all-in on its future. The company sold its original and substantial IT integration and services division, known as OBS, to Syxpériane. This sale marked the final step in its transformation, shedding its legacy business to become a pure-play software editor, focused on its vertical SaaS solutions for the retail, construction, and facility management sectors.
