Ortiva Wireless raised a total of $29.3 million in funding over seven rounds from investors including Intel Capital and Comcast Ventures.

The company's core offerings included mVOG, a mobile video optimization gateway, and iVOG, an internet video optimization platform. These solutions were designed to enhance network efficiency and reduce bandwidth consumption by optimizing the delivery of rich media content based on real-time network conditions and the specific mobile connection. This dual optimization capability aimed to provide the highest quality of experience for consumers, particularly in fluctuating and constrained network environments. Ortiva's technology allowed service providers to manage the increasing volume of video traffic, which represented a significant portion of mobile data traffic.

On May 15, 2012, Ortiva Wireless was acquired by Allot Communications. The acquisition was intended to integrate Ortiva's mobile video optimization solution into Allot's Service Gateway, creating a single, intelligent network services platform. The company's solutions had been deployed at two Tier 1 mobile service providers prior to the acquisition.
