About Orchestra Software

Orchestra Software, founded in 2008 by Brad Windecker, established itself as a specialized provider of business management software for the craft beverage industry. Based in Portland, Oregon, the company developed an all-in-one, enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution tailored for craft breweries, distilleries, cideries, and other beverage producers. The platform was designed to act as a single source of truth for operations, integrating functions like inventory management, production planning, accounting, sales, and quality control.

The company's software, known as OrchestratedBEER and later as Orchestra Cloud, addresses the specific needs of beverage manufacturers by consolidating all business operations. This allows clients, ranging from small startups to large enterprise companies, to gain insights into their business, identify cost savings, and enhance profitability. The system offers features for automated accounting, purchasing and receiving, production and packaging management, and sales management. Prior to its major corporate change, Orchestra Software had secured $14 million in a Series A funding round in January 2019, led by Radian Capital, to expand into new beverage categories and geographic markets.

A significant milestone occurred in October 2020 when Orchestra Software merged with Encompass Technologies, a provider of ERP solutions for beverage distributors. This strategic combination aimed to create a connected supply chain within the beverage industry, offering a seamless flow of data from production to distribution and retail. Following the merger, Brad Windecker continued in a leadership role as CEO of Orchestra. The newly combined entity further expanded its reach by acquiring Handoff, a direct-to-consumer alcohol delivery platform, in November 2020, completing its supplier-to-consumer suite of solutions.
