In 1981, Jacques and Henriette Poinsot founded Maison Options in a suburb of Paris, laying the groundwork for what would become a European leader in event rentals. The company started with a clear focus: providing high-quality tableware, furniture, and decoration for all types of gatherings, from private dinners to large-scale congresses. The business established itself by concentrating on the art of presentation for events. This vision guided its growth from a local French business into an international presence. A key part of its journey was strategic expansion, opening its first international branches in Switzerland and Spain, followed by the UK. This careful expansion was complemented by acquisitions, such as the purchase of UK-based GreatHire in 2019, which strengthened its position in the prestige furniture rental market. In 2021, a significant event marked the company's trajectory when Socadif Capital Investissement, a subsidiary of Crédit Agricole, made a substantial investment. This move was designed to reinforce the group's capital, enabling it to pursue further development and solidify its market-leading position through both organic growth and further acquisitions. Today, under the leadership of President and CEO Marc Rocagel, Maison Options operates across multiple European countries, serving hundreds of events daily and continuing to build on the foundation laid by its founders four decades ago.
