Its service portfolio included colocation in its privately-owned UK data centers, cloud security, backup, and comprehensive IT support. Notable clients included well-known businesses such as Sage and Edinburgh Airport.

The company operated a national network of high-security data centers across the UK, including locations in Edinburgh, providing resilient and compliant hosting environments. In June 2016, Onyx Group was acquired by Pulsant, another UK-based provider of data center and cloud services. Following the acquisition, the Onyx brand and its operations were integrated into Pulsant, which continues to leverage the combined infrastructure and expertise to serve a broad range of businesses.
