Occupier has developed a lease management platform designed to streamline the real estate operations of businesses. The company was co-founded in 2018 by Andrew Flint, Matt Giffune, and Erik Pearson. The founding team brings a wealth of experience from the commercial real estate brokerage sector, having previously worked together at JLL. This firsthand experience with the complexities and inefficiencies of traditional lease management processes directly informed the creation of Occupier's software solution.

The platform serves as a centralized hub for tenants to manage their entire lease lifecycle, from initial site selection and lease negotiation to ongoing lease administration and accounting. Occupier targets finance and real estate teams within companies, offering tools to collaborate more effectively and make data-driven decisions. The software facilitates the management of critical dates, financial obligations, and compliance with lease accounting standards like ASC 842 and IFRS 16. Its business model is based on a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) subscription, providing recurring revenue.

Occupier's product digitizes what has often been a manual, spreadsheet-heavy process. Key features include lease abstraction, which automatically pulls key data points from lease documents, and a deal pipeline tracker for managing new site searches. The platform also integrates lease administration with transaction management, allowing for a seamless flow of information from a new deal into the active lease portfolio. This integration provides a single source of truth for a company's real estate portfolio, enhancing visibility and control for CFOs and heads of real estate.
