Nuua has developed an AI-based back-office system called NUUA Office, designed to automate and streamline operations for travel agencies. This SaaS solution automates processes such as ticket cancellations, refunds, seat selection, and other ancillary services, aiming to reduce manual work by up to 80%. The company's core technology integrates various airline content sources, including the Global Distribution System (GDS), New Distribution Capability (NDC), and Low-Cost Carriers (LCC), into a single, unified interface and API. This allows travel agencies to access real-time flight data and manage bookings more efficiently. By providing a direct booking engine and automated back-office system, Nuua serves travel agencies as its primary customers, with airlines as partners. The company has achieved significant milestones, including becoming the first in Korea and seventh worldwide to receive the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) highest level of NDC certification as a system provider. It has also won multiple awards at the Artificial Intelligence Grand Challenge hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT in South Korea. In December 2024, Nuua secured approximately $10 million in a Series A funding round from investors including Shinhan Venture Investment, Woori Financial Group, and Capstone Partners to enhance its AI services and expand its global presence. The company is expanding into the broader Asian market, having established a subsidiary in Singapore and a local office in Tokyo. In addition to its B2B solutions, Nuua has developed B2C mobile applications, such as an AI-based restaurant finder and a subway navigation app covering 12 Asian cities. The company has also partnered with entities like Woori Card to launch booking platforms such as “Woori WON Travel”.
