Novient
Internet infrastructure solutions for professional services organizations
About Novient
Novient was an Atlanta-based software company that provided internet infrastructure solutions to professional services organizations. The company's offerings were designed to help clients optimize the business results from their service organizations by automating and improving the management of intellectual capital, customer engagements, and alliances.
Over its lifetime, Novient raised more than $50 million from investors, including Mellon Ventures, Noro-Moseley Partners, Southeastern Technology Fund, Advanced Technology Development Center, Aspenwood Ventures, CoreCard, LLR Partners, and Lovett Miller & Co. At the beginning of 2002, the company had approximately 100 employees.
Facing financial difficulties, Novient was acquired by the Australian conglomerate Solution 6 Holdings Ltd., a provider of specialized business software and professional services. The acquisition was expected to close in July 2002. While the combined company was to be based in Australia, some Novient products were planned to be marketed under the Novient name.
