The company was founded in July 2023 and evolved from a family business with over 30 years of experience in screw manufacturing. Its founder, Xu Yang, holds a master's degree in mechanical manufacturing from Tongji University and has extensive industrial experience from his time at automotive parts manufacturer Valeo Group. Co-founder Wang Xiaobin also comes from Valeo, where he served as a deputy general manager. The company focuses on the in-house production of planetary roller screws and actuators, positioning these as a primary solution for linear transmission. Nousbot operates a research and development center in Shenzhen, with manufacturing bases in Shanghai and Suzhou. The firm's primary market is the humanoid robot industry, where it provides core components for joints and dexterous hands. However, it also targets sectors such as medical surgical robots, semiconductor optical modules, and the low-altitude economy. Nousbot has developed and mass-produced the world's smallest planetary roller screw, with a diameter of 1.5mm and a nut diameter of 5.5mm. This miniature screw can achieve a repeated positioning accuracy of ±0.01mm and has been commercially validated by leading customers. The company has also created integrated micro linear actuators that incorporate brushless motors and non-contact sensors, enabling robot hands to perform delicate operations. For larger applications, Nousbot offers linear actuators for humanoid robot limbs with a maximum thrust of up to 8000N and a service life of 3 million cycles. The company has completed multiple funding rounds, attracting investors such as SAIC Ventures, Lenovo Capital, Shunwei Capital, and Wangqian Capital. These funds are being used to expand production capacity, iterate on product development, and pursue overseas market opportunities. Nousbot aims to address the industry's challenges of high costs and long lead times for critical robot components.
