NOICE, operating under PT Mahaka Radio Digital, was established in 2018 to cater to the Indonesian market's demand for local audio content. The company was founded by CEO Rado Ardian and CBO Niken Sasmaya, both of whom previously held positions at Google Asia Pacific. Originally conceived as a streaming radio platform, NOICE has since expanded its services to become a multi-vertical audio content platform.

The company's primary business is providing a wide array of audio content, including podcasts, online radio, audiobooks, audioseries, and live audio features. With a hyperlocal strategy, NOICE aims to become the leading audio content platform in Indonesia by focusing on locally relevant material. The platform hosts over 100 original and exclusive shows and has a large user-generated content library. To support content creators, NOICE has launched programs and a proprietary SaaS platform to help them produce, publish, and monetize their work. The business operates on a freemium model, offering both free and premium content, including a Pay-Per-Content (PPC) option for exclusive material.

Since its inception, NOICE has achieved significant milestones, securing a 7-figure Pre-Series A funding round in 2021, co-led by Alpha JWC Ventures and Go-Ventures. This was followed by a $22 million Series A round in April 2022, led by Northstar, with participation from previous investors. The platform has experienced substantial user growth, serving over two million users who spend an average of 80 minutes daily on the app. This engagement has translated to over 1 billion minutes of audio content streamed by the third quarter of 2021. The application is available for both Android and iOS users.
