Noematrix is a Shanghai-based company operating in the embodied artificial intelligence sector, developing intelligent systems for robots. Founded in November 2023, the company was strategically incubated by Flexiv, a company involved in the general-purpose intelligent robotics field. Noematrix has demonstrated rapid growth, securing four rounds of funding within its first year from notable investors including Sequoia China, Prosperity7 Ventures, Vision Knight Capital, and Zero2IPO Capital.

The company was co-founded by Lu Cewu and Wang Shiquan, both of whom have strong ties to Stanford University and extensive backgrounds in robotics and AI. Lu Cewu conducted postdoctoral research at the Stanford AI Lab, is a professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and is recognized as a pioneer in China's embodied intelligence research. Wang Shiquan holds a Ph.D. from Stanford's Bionics and Dexterous Manipulation Laboratory and previously founded Flexiv, where he developed a humanoid general robot technology.

Noematrix's business model is centered on providing the core software and hardware that enable robots to perform complex tasks in the physical world. The company develops and sells an embodied intelligence system, the "Noematrix Brain," which integrates task planning, environmental perception, and autonomous navigation. This system is designed to be versatile and compatible with diverse hardware architectures, serving as a standardized "brain" for various types of robots. The company's offerings also include a full suite of tools for the entire lifecycle of intelligent agent applications, from R&D and testing to deployment. Revenue is generated from these integrated solutions, which include the Noematrix Brain, a training platform with MLOps tools, a development platform, and a robot cluster management system called RobotFarm.

A key product is the "CoMiner" data collection system, which addresses the high cost and difficulty of gathering real-world data for training AI models. This system uses a "production-attached" approach, allowing data to be collected without halting operations, and has reportedly secured nearly 100 orders within six months of its launch. The company is targeting commercial applications in sectors such as retail fulfillment, household robotics, and food processing. For instance, Noematrix has partnered with home appliance companies to develop robots for laundry care and is working to automate complex food production lines through human-machine collaboration.
