Based in Pudong, China, NK CellTech is a biotechnology firm established in March 2020, concentrating on the discovery and advancement of Natural Killer (NK) cell therapies for oncology. The company was founded by Zhigang Tian, a fellow of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, who brings decades of experience and a strategic vision to the field of cell therapy. The research and development team collectively possesses over 30 years of experience in NK cell research and clinical applications.

NK CellTech's business revolves around providing immuno-oncologic drugs for cancer treatment. The company's core technology is centered on its ABCDE-NK® and SynNKTM platforms. The ABCDE-NK® platform is characterized by its Allogeneic, Blood-derived, Cryopreserved Off-The-Shelf, Designed Genetically On Demand, and Expanded to Clinical Scale capabilities. The SynNKTM platform utilizes synthetic immunology with genetic logic gates to create "intelligent" NK cell products. These platforms allow for the development of cellular drugs designed to precisely target a wide range of tumors and adapt to the tumor immune microenvironment. One of its pipeline products, NK010, is a non-genetically modified NK cell therapy derived from allogeneic peripheral blood, which received FDA clearance for a clinical trial in January 2024 to treat ovarian cancer.

The company has secured significant funding to advance its research and development pipeline. In July 2022, NK CellTech completed a Series A funding round of over CNY 100 million, led by Huagai Capital and followed by several other investors. In total, the company has raised $28.9 million over two funding rounds. An incubated company of Harbour BioMed, NK CellTech also secured Series A++ and Series A+++ financing in November 2024 and July 2025, respectively, to further its pipeline development and clinical progress.
