The acquisition allowed McAfee to enter the rapidly growing SIEM market and enhance its security risk management portfolio by integrating NitroSecurity's advanced analytical tools. The entire NitroSecurity team was incorporated into McAfee's Risk and Compliance business unit, with the goal of combining their technologies to offer a single platform for event analysis, threat remediation, and vulnerability management.
