Founded in 2017 by Thompson Aderinkomi, Genevieve Swenson, and Allison Pulley, Nice Healthcare originated in Minnesota with the goal of making healthcare more accessible and affordable for employees of smaller companies. The company's service package includes virtual and in-home primary care, virtual mental health therapy, and virtual physical therapy for employees and their families. A key feature is the reduction of out-of-pocket expenses, as their clinicians can conduct 35 different labs and blood draws, perform x-rays, and prescribe from a formulary of over 550 medications at no extra cost to the patient. This model aims to remove common barriers to seeking care, such as cost and convenience.

Nice Healthcare operates on a B2B model, contracting directly with employers who then offer the service to their employees. The business generates revenue through a per-employee, per-month subscription fee paid by the employer.
