The company is investigating obicetrapib, a selective cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) inhibitor, as the preferred LDL-c-lowering therapy for high-risk cardiovascular disease (CVD) patients. The company's pipeline also includes a fixed-dose combination of obicetrapib and ezetimibe, which is in a Phase 2 clinical trial (ROSE2). NewAmsterdam is also conducting two Phase 3 pivotal trials, BROADWAY and BROOKLYN, to evaluate obicetrapib in patients with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH) and established atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). A third Phase 3 trial, PREVAIL, is designed as a cardiovascular outcomes trial. The company was founded in 2019 and is headquartered in Naarden, the Netherlands.
