The company was founded in 2024 by former Revolut executives Mark Swan (CEO), Philipp Burda (CPO), and Ivan Chalov (COO). They applied their experience in building global financial products to address the significant administrative burden on wealth advisors, who can spend up to 80% of their time on such tasks.

The platform's core services include AI-powered meeting summaries, automated task generation, intelligent client briefs for meeting preparation, AI search across integrated systems, automated client-ready emails, and streamlined account opening processes. By handling these operational tasks, Nevis aims to free up advisors to focus on client service and business growth. The business model targets wealth management firms, including Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) of various sizes, from national firms serving high-net-worth individuals to those focused on ultra-high-net-worth families. Clients include firms like United Capital, Apollon Wealth Management, and GC Wealth, which collectively manage over $50 billion in assets.

Less than a year after its founding, Nevis announced it had raised a total of $40 million. This includes a $35 million Series A round led by Sequoia Capital, ICONIQ, and Ribbit Capital, which followed a $5 million seed round led by Sequoia. As part of the investment, Sequoia's Luciana Lixandru joined the Nevis board. The funding is intended to scale the product and expand operations.
