NeuraMatrix is a Chinese technology company, founded in November 2019 and incubated by Tsinghua University, that specializes in brain-computer interface (BCI) technology. The company's founders, Milin and Shuo, are experts in integrated circuits and biomaterials, respectively, with academic backgrounds from Tsinghua University. Their combined expertise forms the foundation of the company's dual focus on developing miniaturized chip systems and biocompatible materials to enable a wireless data exchange between the human brain and computers.

The firm develops both hardware and software to provide a complete platform for human-to-computer communication. Its core technology is an implantable BCI that can precisely read and modify electrical signals in the nervous system. This includes tiny implantable devices, hardware servers, software, and various electrodes, supplemented by data analysis services. The long-term vision is to enhance human cognitive abilities by merging humans with artificial intelligence, allowing users to upload and download information directly from a computer. NeuraMatrix serves clients in brain science, medical science, and research, including research institutes, hospitals, and pharmaceutical companies.

NeuraMatrix has raised a total of $15.7 million over two funding rounds. A Series A round in November 2021 raised $15.65 million, led by Huagai Capital and with participation from Prosperity7 Ventures (the venture arm of Saudi Aramco) and Matrix Partners China. This capital is aimed at accelerating research and development, mass production of its proprietary chips, and scaling the production of its medical and scientific research equipment. The company has also formed a strategic partnership with Matrix AI Network to integrate its BCI technology with AI and blockchain to develop solutions for Web3 and the metaverse, starting with a non-invasive wearable device for biometric verification.
