Anker Innovations was established in 2011 by Steven Yang, a former senior algorithm engineer at Google. Yang, after earning a master's degree in Computer Science, identified a market opportunity for reliable mobile charging solutions and returned to China to found the company. This foundation in high-quality power accessories allowed Anker to expand into multiple consumer electronics categories, including the creation of the Nebula brand.
