By 2013, over 6,500 organizations utilized NCircle's solutions to automate compliance, reduce IT security risks, and measure their security posture against internal goals and industry benchmarks. NCircle offered a suite of products designed to provide comprehensive network visibility. Its offerings included IP360 for vulnerability management and the Topology Risk Analyzer, which assessed network layouts. The company also developed enterprise solutions like the Security Intelligence Hub for sharing network intelligence and nTellect, a system for prioritizing threats. For small to medium-sized businesses, NCircle launched PureCloud in 2011, a cloud-based network security scanning service that identified vulnerabilities without requiring hardware or software installation.

A significant milestone in the company's history was its acquisition by Tripwire, an IT security and compliance solutions firm, on March 11, 2013. At the time of the acquisition, the combined 2012 bookings for both companies were approximately $140 million. The integration of NCircle's agentless vulnerability management software with Tripwire's agent-based configuration management created a more comprehensive product portfolio aimed at competing with larger players in the cybersecurity market. Abe Kleinfeld, the CEO of nCircle at the time, noted that the merger would provide customers with the flexibility to secure diverse network environments from a single vendor.
