About Mutable Tactics

Mutable Tactics is a Cambridge defence-tech company building an AI decision layer that sits between human operators and mixed fleets of aerial, maritime and ground drones so commanders can supervise coordinated teams rather than pilot platforms one-by-one, especially when communications are degraded or denied. Founded in 2024 by former British Army officer Colin MacLeod (CEO) and robotics AI specialist Enrique Muñoz de Cote, the software translates commander intent into coordinated actions while keeping humans in control of outcomes. In March 2026 Mutable Tactics raised $2.1 million (about €1.8 million) in pre-seed funding led by Seraphim Space, with the UK National Security Strategic Investment Fund (NSSIF), Koro, Entrepreneurs First and Transpose, to expand its Cambridge engineering team, accelerate product development and validate the stack with two European governments.
