About Mueon

Mueon is a semiconductor systems company focused on redesigning data center architecture for AI and hyperscale computing. The company, which is headquartered in Portland, Oregon, came out of stealth mode on September 17, 2025, with a $15.5 million seed funding round. The round was led by Intel Capital, with participation from Geodesic Alliance Fund and Oregon Venture Fund. As part of the investment, Intel Capital's Managing Director, Srini Ananth, joined Mueon's board of directors.

The company was co-founded by CEO Wilfred Gomes. The founding team consists of experts with backgrounds in CPU, GPU, memory architecture, system integration, power delivery, and thermal design. Mueon was established to fundamentally rethink the building blocks of data centers, which are facing challenges in cost, power, and cooling, particularly with the rise of generative AI.

Mueon's core product is its Cubelets™, which are compact, stackable, modular units that integrate compute, memory, power delivery, and thermal management. This architecture is designed to replace traditional racks of servers and cables, offering up to a 10x improvement in density and energy efficiency while simplifying deployment. The Cubelets are compatible with existing AI and cloud software stacks, enabling clients like cloud providers, enterprises, and research institutions to deploy dense compute clusters in environments that were previously not viable due to cost or power limitations. The company's initial focus is on AI inference and training workloads.
