Movella went public in February 2023 through a business combination with Pathfinder Acquisition Corp, a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC). In May 2025, the company announced the completion of a restructuring transaction, resulting in its equity now being owned by Movella Holdings NewCo, LP, an affiliate of its secured lenders, and it is no longer a public reporting company.
