About Morrow Sodali

The story begins with two separate, formidable players. In the United States, Joe Morrow founded Morrow & Co. in 1972, building it into a trusted provider of proxy solicitation and corporate governance consulting. Across the Atlantic, Alvise Recchi founded Sodali, establishing it as a leader in corporate governance and shareholder services in Europe and Latin America. The major turning point came in May 2016, when Sodali acquired Morrow & Co. This wasn't just a simple acquisition; it was the creation of a new global entity, Morrow Sodali. The merger brought together two powerhouses with complementary geographic strengths, forming the largest independent firm of its kind in the world, serving over 600 clients in 30 countries. With an established global footprint, the company continued to grow. A pivotal event occurred in April 2022 when TPG Growth, a private equity firm, acquired a majority stake in Morrow Sodali. This investment, coinciding with the firm's 50th anniversary, was designed to accelerate growth and expand its service offerings, particularly in the booming ESG advisory space. Following the TPG investment, Morrow Sodali embarked on a series of strategic acquisitions to bolster its capabilities in strategic communications and sustainability, setting the stage for its next chapter. In July 2024, the company rebranded to Sodali & Co, unifying its acquired businesses under a single identity to better serve its now 2,000 clients worldwide.
