About Mirelo AI

Mirelo AI is a Berlin generative-audio company that builds foundation models to add synchronised sound effects, ambience and music to silent video and other visual media. Founded in 2023 by former Amazon AI researchers and musicians CJ Simon-Gabriel and Florian Wenzel, it trains its own models (including Mirelo SFX) so creators and studios can upload a clip and receive matched audio in seconds, with APIs for product teams embedding the same capability into video, gaming and social tools. In December 2025 Mirelo raised a $41 million seed round co-led by Index Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz, with Atlantic.vc and TriplePoint Capital, bringing total funding to about $44 million including angel backing from figures such as Mistral CEO Arthur Mensch.
