miDiagnostics is developing a portfolio of tests for various health applications, including infectious diseases, sterility testing for the biopharma industry, and respiratory infections. A notable application is an ultra-rapid PCR-based sterility test for CAR-T cell therapy production, aimed at significantly reducing the time for batch release and enhancing patient safety. The company has also explored applications in monitoring astronaut health in collaboration with NASA. While a COVID-19 PCR test was developed and used in real-world settings, it has since been discontinued as of May 2025.

Since its inception, miDiagnostics has raised a total of $113 million over four funding rounds, according to one source, while another states $217M. A significant Series D funding round of €30 million was completed in December 2024, led by Thermo Fisher Scientific. This funding is intended to accelerate the development of its sterility test and other quality control tests for the biopharmaceutical industry. The company is led by CEO Katleen Verleysen.
